Never Said 03:20
As those memories fade away I remember your face Poor life decisions and cynical but I feel more each day Didn't know each other very long, I never said goodbye This blood that flows right through me gives me a sense of pride I have a weakness, have a crutch I just want to be that kid again I don't want to be anything I just want to be that kid again who never said goodbye If those stories we were told and we all hear are true Sometimes I'd like to think that these stories are true Then maybe if I can get there, we'll meet again Please remember me....

Don't be kept down, take control Always let down burns the soul Don't be let down or lose control You've got to fight to keep this going on Don't rely on how they approve I don't care if they approve Never had anything to prove You've got to fight to keep this going on x2 Don't ever let them bring you down Who's got my back when I'm down Battle the urge just to leave town You've got to fight to keep this going on Don't be kept down, take control Always let down burns the soul Don't be let down or lose control You've got to fight to keep this going on x4 When the bell goes down When the lights go off When the gates go up just carry on All those things that keep you from where you want to be All those things that keep you down All those people that keep you from where you want to be All those people that keep you down...

Shouldn't have to wear steel toes for doing what you love, my silence is your salvation. I'll let go all of the things that you already know, my resolve could be revelation. Do unto others like you would have them do unto you, not all for one and one for one. The last person I thought would pull this shit would've been you. The battle's over but in the end, who has won? I hope you got all the things you wanted, and all at my expense. An individual has no ownership to what we do. I hope you see and feel what all of this has done to you. People will say or do anything just to get all the things they've always wanted, they don't care. But truth and karma will prevail, and virtue is it's own reward.

It's that time again, let's pack the van. Pockets are empty still we use the helping hand. Set time we're on, 10 tickets sold. Doesn't matter when you're part of something that never will get old. Something changed inside. The time had come and I was blind. Days were dark and short, and I was cold. Lost the fight between body and soul. Separated, the choice was made. I stayed connected and slowed down to a different pace. Back on two feet, the next step was mine. I knew I'd lose connection but get it back in time. Made it through another Winter inside. Spring had come, and now with music it's Summertime. It's in my blood, the next generation. Play it loud, feed the crowd. Something changed inside. The time had come and I was blind. Days are bright and warm, forget the cold. Won the fight between body and soul. Now that I'm back, I'm back for good. Posi(tive) reinforcement's there like I hoped it would. So let's all work on this together, together. I'm never leaving this again....never again.
